“Color of The Day” is a historical log of colors swatched from the world. The process, documented on social media, involved roaming around the city and painting a color like an eyedropper tool. The end presentation was a result of an undergrad course called data sonification. The middle, higher, and lower frequencies reflect how much red, green, and blue there is in the swatch. Imported into a simple algorithm I programmed, I retrieved the painted colors and convert them into numerical values mapped onto midi, so you could hear color. The number of colors reflect the five week class to the calendar day.
