Tears On The Dance Floor is an interactive exhibition and live performance that demonstrated two audiovisual tools made from repurposed laser pointers. The green laser pointer drew a simsulated particle effect and controlled the gain of sound samples. The red laser pointer controlled frequencies on an x/y axis. At the Anderson Gallery, I performed in sync with the melodies, knowing something the audience didn’t. The seven minute rhapsody that backed this project was made from sad data. Data related to pranks, inconvenciences, or idiocy: common viral themes that pollute internet landscapes daily.  Coded in MAX/MSP,  the project  simulates joy with a twist.
